May day celebrations @ the Otley Courthouse

The Otley Courthouse is having a day of free events on bank holiday to celebrate its 6th birthday.  We are holding a free yogamum session at noon.  There are loads of other trials and tasters on too, starting from 10:00 am

A fun day for all the family with lots of activities for all ages as users of the Courthouse show just what makes this such an exciting and enjoyable place.

  • 10 -10.30  Yoga Bugs  -join in with  yoga and stories for toddlers and their carers
  • 10.30 – 12.00 Art Room – Drop in fun family art activity  – for all ages!
  • 10.30 -11.00 Rhythm Time  -  music and singing fun for preschool children and their carers
  • 11.15 – 11.45 Sing and Sign – for carers and babies – baby signing and action songs
  • 12.00 -12.30 Yoga Mum – for carers (mums, dads and grandparents!) and babies under 18 months – or if you escape you can even come alone
  • 12.45 – 1.30 Beginners Salsa for all ages – get that Latin feel with or without a partner
  • 1.30 – 2.30 Drum Circle – fantastic fun for all ages. Try your hand at drumming with Paul Wrigley – all drums provided (small charge)
  • 2.00 – 4.00 Badge making fun for all ages in the Art Room
  • 2.15 – 3.15 The Courthouse Community Choir – ever wanted to sing? Let Dave Stewart and the Community Choir get you started. It begins with an exciting duet with the drummers.
  • 3.30 – 4.00 Rhythmic Gymnastics – display by Otley’s young gymnasts .
  • 4.00 -4.30 Otley Junior Orchestra – a special concert with the 7 – 11 year olds from OJO. Listen to our tunes and then join in with the orchestra. Whatever your age, bring an instrument and join in
  • 4.30 Blast from the Past – Mayday in the 1960s – archive film from Otley Film Society – see anyone you know?
  • All day in the Robing Room – The Courthouse Writing group – pick up  pen for some very creative writing
  • Knit2together – tangle with some unusual knitting

Cafe with delicious cake open all day.
