Pregnancy yoga

Without a shadow of a doubt, there is no greater time to practice yoga than whilst pregnant.   The aim of my yogamum pregnancy classes is to use Yoga as a tool to enhance your pregnancy and birth experiences, helping to strengthen the body, calm the mind and prepare you emotionally for birth and motherhood.  They are also a great opportunity to meet other expectant women.

Here is what Lindsey from Otley said about the pregnancy group classes

I love my weekly fix at Yoga mums, not only has it eased my sciatica during my second pregnancy, but that bit of ‘me time’ every week really calms my mind and soul.  I would certainly recommend this class to all expectant mothers.

I currently offer one group class

TUESDAY EVENINGS  8pm – 9.30pm

This class is suitable for all pregnant women, however it is recommended that you wait till around 16 weeks before starting to attend. If you would like to attend earlier then please ring me to discuss.

Location: St John Ambulance Centre, Gay Lane, Otley (next to Sainsbury’s)

PERSONAL SESSIONS

I also offer one-one sessions for any pregnant women, but particualry those in early pregnancy – click here for details.

I also offer one-to-one birth preparation sessions for you and your birthing partner.  Please contact me for more information.  This is what Emma from Otley said about the one-to-one sessions

I was unsure about attending formal antenatal classes with my husband as he’s not the sort of person who appreciates being lectured and has a very short attention span so Angela kindly arranged a private session on breathing techniques and how I could use my yoga during the birth and how he could help me. It was the best decision as my husband was able to ask questions without feeling stupid in front of a crowd. He used so much he’d learned during the 38-hour labour with our lovely daughter and was far more relaxed because he knew what he could do to help.
